My Squirrel Shield

I am continuing my squirrel posts since I know tenacious  squirrels will not stop trying to get to the bird seed.

We bought this squirrel blocker at Home Depot and it has worked for us for several years.

Hubs designed and made me this bird feeder....he would make boxes etc to try to block the squirrels from climbing up this pole

However, the squirrels would figure out a way to get past them
 til we bought this....
they cannot get past this shield even though they still try!

I was not asked to promote this product....just wanted to share what works for us

I hope this helps in the never-ending squirrel battle!

Squirrel Watching

This squirrel is looking for bird seed that may have fallen
under our deck...

Squirrels can be an annoyance but they
are fun to watch.

However you feel about squirrels
They are tenacious!

A Rainy Weekend!

We have been in a bit of a drought so....
I was Thankful for a rainy night weekend in Georgia.

 I thought this blurry pic captures the feeling of heavy rain

The sun did shine again but with very muddy water

Getting Out of the House

If you work outside the home, you may not understand how simply

going out helps me psychologically!

I went to our MS Self Help Group meeting....

when I wanted to stay at home, for no reason.

However, I think if I do not get out of the house....

I will become homebound when

I am blessed to have a choice physically to go or stay at home.

I made myself to go since I do enjoy the meetings

and Just getting out.....seeing other people 

makes me feel better.

Maybe we are meant to be social creatures!

Spasticity and Heat

I like these warm, comfy boots that Hubs gave me for Christmas

He knew that I am always cold!

However.... I discovered when my legs are warm and toasty

my legs cramp spasm.

My Doctor said, "You are right, Heat does affect Spasticity"

I am sharing what works for me as I freeze during the winter.

I try to listen to my body and I feel it said...

that I have to get used to freezing!

Jealous of my Computer

I share a picture of pure jealousy 

(even though you can see my messiness behind the laptop table).

After I had been on the computer awhile I backed up my chair
I did have stuff to get done

I headed back to the computer.....yet Donny was blocking me.

He stared at me while I was saying "Move" yet he would not move

I started laughing at his show of jealousy

Even furry kids want attention when we ignore them!

My Childhood Globe

I asked my Grandfather to get me this globe for Christmas 

40 years ago.

I found different parts of the world so interesting....
I had a brief pen pal from Yemen when I was young.

We would write letters way before computers

Things have certainly changed since I would study this globe!

My Son Got Married

Jacob and Kayla

I have high hopes for them as they are beginning to build a new life together!

They married in California so we could not be there.
Fortunately we have DVDs, photos, etc to communicate with.

My aunt took the following video....it is my son telling the story of his engagement....you cannot hear my voice but it is my family enjoying the surprise engagement story:

I woke this morning to 15 degrees outside but  
Thankfully I have heat inside my house!

I am Blessed to see geese on the icy lake today.

Look for beauty even if it is an ice crystal!

Hauling a Tree in a Smart Car

This following event  happened the day after Christmas:

We were happy to find a new Christmas tree but

when we were in the store I asked my Hubs

"how do we get this tree home?"
since we were in a tiny Smart car

Hubs became a professional packer when he used to live in a submarine! during his Navy days

He showed me it was possible when I kept doubting him

So...when it seems impossible....Believe or just trust your Hubs!
