I am Thankful for My Left Hand

net pic

I used to do everything right handed until...
the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) damaged
my right hand and my right leg.
~MS Relapses cause numbness etc~

Since that happened years ago...
I am thankful that
my Left Hand and my Left Leg became
the dominate side of my body.

I automatically do everything left handed now...
except I can still
Write Right handed!

The body is remarkable...
when one part of the body stops working well
then other senses can take over!

My Horse Dog Plays and Prays

Donny the horse dog,
has a nice rope to play with...

but he gets socks out of the laundry
and paper out of the garbage
as seen in the pics

At least he prays for forgiveness, right?
I do not think so...

Thanks to Family Caregivers

I have needed short-term care for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the past.  Thanks to Hubs, family and friends I was in this 80% shortly:

I pass on the info from the NMSS...

Up to one quarter of individuals living with MS require long-term care services at some point during the course of the disease. Often, a family member steps into the role of primary caregiver, becoming some of our nation's 65 million caregivers who provide 80% of long-term care. Family caregivers are vital because they allow people living with MS to remain in the home, avoiding premature and costlier admission to nursing home facilities, but it can be a stressful job.

Remembering Ervin

Our family lost a good man this week.
Ervin went to Heaven.

He was 78 years old
Ervin was retired from the Navy

For a man who had survived the tragedies of...
the loss of his son as a child
and lost his wife to cancer.

He still kept a positive outlook about life

Remember to Appreciate your loved ones!

A Special Birthday!

I could not dream of how precious it would be to have a daughter
~25 years ago~

At her birth,  the doctor asked me
"what did you want?" I said "A Boy"

He said "what was your 2nd choice?"
I said "A Girl?"
another girl? we have a family full of girls

She studies all the time since she has almost achieved her
Masters in Taxation degree!

I am proud of her now but I was happy
when she played soccer,
sang in the High School Chorus,
got on the school bus by herself,
got her driver's license
etc. etc. etc.

Many times we do not know what is best for us.
Happy Birthday Leah!

Our 27th Anniversary

My Spinal headache left me on Valentine's Day!!
I feel alive again!

Therefore I was able to go out to eat with Hubs
for our 27th anniversary.

We have been through all the different stages of marriage
and we have a lifetime of memories.

One of the best memories for me
is just plain ole spending time together....

It is all technical and I am not sure how it works

I look forward to feeling better and back to life (blogging)

One Year of Employment

(my niece Ivy took this pic)

I felt this stormy pic described how we felt during Hubs unemployment days of 2010....
.

Thankfully the storms pass by....Hubs has been employed for one year now!
and things just seem brighter with a job
One year has gone by so slow and yet so fast!

A Car Wreck....

My daughter-in-law was in a car wreck
she was riding along with a friend to do errands
when another vehicle hit her side of the car
(like the net pic above)

Thankfully she is fine but has aches and pains.

When you get that heart-stopping middle of the night phone call
it is a relief for it to start with "everybody is Ok"

We know side impact car wrecks can be devastating!

I Praise the Lord that she is doing Ok
since it could have been so much worse!
