Heat Dome of Summer

I do not have to tell anyone but the end of Summer is near even though we are under a Dome of Heat.

I have said to many, "I will take July Heat over January Cold anytime"....however the heat is not easy for MS.

I Love hot,  humid weather since I grew up with it but this year has been tough.

My biggest problem is that my brain has gone blank under the Dome of Heat!

Seems like the heat is getting to everyone! I can't wait for Autumn, and I'm even looking forward to snow...sort of.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Cheers

I will take cold over heat, but FLORIDA cold not your kind of cold. by cold, i mean 50's and 60's. i do no like extreme cold or heat and the dome is really making us steam this year. it is so humid here it is like breathing hot water

Yes!!!! (unnecessary and excessive use of the exclamation mark brought about by brain frying heat dome.)

It's like I can't even think this year. Every place I go, people say the same, too.

Walking around like a bunch of zombies we are.

I grew up in the steamy Tidewater summers of Southeast Virginia but 3 heat stress incidents over the years and the onset of COPD after 40 years of smoking have reduced my heat tolerance to zilch. However, I'm lucky in that summers here in the Blue Ridge Mountains are much milder and cold weather has never bothered me.

As I have mentioned on my own blog, I too prefer summer heat to winter cold, but this year has really tested my preference. Well, not really. I still don't want to shovel snow anymore or skid on ice patches or get frosbite. Thank goodness for AC is all I can say.

Ug. Sorry....I'd have to take the cold. The heat and humidity drain every ounce of energy I have. I've been pretty much homebound for the month of July because of it! Yuck!

You have air conditioning? I hope so!! Yes, I believe we have had record breaking temps this summer. But school starts next week, so it's almost fall and the worst is over!

I'm so sad that summer is over. I didn't even really get to enjoy it.

I followed you home. Thanks for visiting. I turn into a troll in summer and only come out (reluctantly) at night. Winter is a happy time for me, unfortunately now coming to an end.

I have to agree with you 100% - it is like there is just not any relief in site and we still have couple of months.

My brain goes numb without the dome of heat. I prefer heat to cold. I guess that is why I live in the sub-tropics.

Now Patti and I may as well be children of the North Wind. Summer is just another MS unfriendly obstacle. However blessed Fall and Winter lay only a blink of a sweaty eye ahead.

Caregivingly Yours, Patrick

It is the same for me. I love hot humid, it is what I grew up with...but my neurons do NOT! It is kind of confusing...on the one hand below 82 and it seems chilly on my skin...but I know that 78 would be better for my MS...

My husband calls me Goldie Locks because the temp has to be just right!!!

I cannot stand the cold but it has been a horribly hot/humid summer. Autumn sounds pretty good to me!!!

I have always said the same thing! I am a summer girl through and through, but I must admit this summer has been HOT! Lest I get an "I told you so" from winter-lovers, I will quickly say I DO like the heat...but I prefer to be by a pool or seaside in the midst of it!! Praying you stay cool and comfortable! :)

It seems so strange when all my blogging friends say it has been a hot summer. I think this is going down as one of the wettest and coldest for us in an incredibly long time. SO wish we could trade a bit:))
