Marine son is in Marine school now. It is nice to have him back to civilization after all the tough training.
Accountant daughter is working all the time as an accountant intern. I see very little of my kids since they are living their ambitions.
I was happy when tough son called us while educated daughter was here visiting.
We had a four-way phone call with him in another state. A fancy conference call since I have three phone extensions in my house.
I thought, "I am living my dream as they pursue theirs".
When younger I did not know a dream could be talking and laughing with my little family.
Do we really ever know what our dreams will be? They do change with life...

I agree. Dreams are ever changing.
Cheers
Seems like my wants and dreams change with the rising sun. Have a good day.
Dreams changes just as we do but wonder if as we grow older they change for the better. Or do we cheat ourselves by becoming a more "sensible" dreamer?
How wonderful your children are living their dreams and have good jobs, you must be so very proud!! You are so right about our dreams changing as we get older!!! As a young woman, my dream was to travel. Now I can't stand it! I love going new places, but the traveling and motels I can't stand. Many other dreams have changed, too. I heard once that our cells completly rejuvenate themselves every four years?? So maybe we are a completly different person every seven years!
What a happy dream come true for you! You must be very proud.
Whatever they are, thanks for sharing a moment of talking and laughing with family. Now that's anybody's dream.
Caregivingly Yours, Patrick
I think some of the best mom times are talking and laughing with our grown children...makes up for all the teenage drama...lol
Thanks, Becky Jane
True, our dreams change as often as our situations do. I think that Moms often live vicariously through their children's happiness! I do!

This was the sweetest post...
I don't think we do know, and that is probably good. Keeps us looking, praying and pursuing God's will for us. But I am thankful when some of them turn out so well, like in this story you relate here. Neat post.
Please thank your Marine son for his service for me. We live in a Marine town and my husband works on base.
My dreams changed from wanting things I didn't have to now wanting to keep the things I do have.
I'm new to you and I'll be back.
It's wonderful to see our kids --after they grow up---prosper and succeed... I was lucky with mine also, since none of them ever moved back home... I have friends though whose kids never grew up--and still live with their parents... GADS...
Your kids obviously are doing great... YES--you can live out their dreams with them from the sidelines.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh you are so RIGHT! Dreams do change with life. I am so glad to hear you had a special time with your kiddos!
I know what you mean! It's amazing how life changes our dreams. Blessings to you my friend!
very happy for you that your children talked with you. you are so right, the dreams change and sometimes moment by moment. my dreams now are totally different than when i was young, and when i was 40 and 40 and then to and now almost 67, now it doesn't take nearly as much to make me happy as it did years ago.
wow, you made a really powerful observation there! Hubs laughed at me the other day because I was so giddy to have our sons and their ladies here for the evening!
