Children Showing Respect for the Military!

A female Marine was in the restroom when she heard two little girls say,

"Look at that girl in the Army suit.  I wish I had my pen, I would ask her for an autograph".

My son saw the little girls run to their Dad when they came out saying,

"Daddy, Daddy, there is a real girl in there in a Army suit".

This happened while my Marine son was touring the Air Force Museum.  A lot of elementary school kids were touring also.

I am happy that children are showing respect for those who protect our Country!

What a great story! When my husband and I were in the service, 2 little boys asked for our autograph at an elementary school Christmas program. It was so sweet. We felt very proud to be in uniform, as I'm sure your son does as well.

Amen to that.... We all need to appreciate the military and all that they do (and have done) for us for many years.

God Bless your SON.
Hugs,
Betsy

An interesting story, I guess they had never seen a woman in the service, I am glad they respect her!

My heart always swells with pride and love when I see military personnel and also when I sing songs about our country and when I see the flag.
We live in an awesome country!
Thanks for such a great post,

You express my sentiments perfectly! It's up to us adults to pass on that respect, and I certainly want to do my part! God bless our military men and women!!

Two moments most seared in my heart are when two young military men in our church were killed on active duty. I took all my sons, to stand on the side of the road, people gave us flags, and we prayed, stood at attention to show our respect for their sacrifice to keep us safe. I think those moments seared my sons' hearts, too. All of them talk about serving in the military - and I could not be more proud if they do - because then they are chosing amazing nobleness, courage and self-sacrifice for others!
Bless you and your son!
