This rose bud is part of the same bush that I declared dead last week. It has a bit of life left in it.

The digital cameras allow us to capture some of the detail that the eye can see. The delete button is handy also!
I am always amazed with the human eye and the way the brain processes the beauty!

great shots and I love what you said about how the human eye processes the beauty it sees.
The best thing about digital photography is that you can take as many photos as you want and not have to worry about "wasting film" or bad shots.
me to on the camera and the human eye, digital picks up so much detail, like in that gorgeous rose you thought was dead. i am watching the back yard and it still amazes me when a stick grows leaves.
Nice close up of the rose bud! It is fun to take pictures. I always wish I knew more about it. Then I always say, "One of these days!" :)
Nice pix, Kim. I, too, always loved photography, but I'm not that good at it.
Peace,

Looks like that rose bush still has some life in it. I have always wanted to dabble in photography, just can't find the time. Hey, thanks for voting for me! That means the world to me...
Hooray for your rose bush! It looks like you will have some beautiful blossoms.
I love photography, and have always taken pictures. I used to be a painter, but with the MS I can no longer create with a brush, so now I use a digital camera, and I love it.
Cheers
yor picture is beautiful. so glad there is still life in that floer bush. nature has a way of always surprising us! Blessings, Joanne
Great shot! I love photos that focus in on an object upfront and the rest seems to fade away!
How encouraging to see life in a little place you didn't expect it to be!
I wish I was a better photographer. I was looking at some of the pictures I posted on my blog this morning and thinking they could've been much better.
I love digital cameras because you don't have to pay to have the pix developed and can delete the bad ones.
What a nice surprise that rose bud is! Beautiful photography Kim. I remember the days of waiting forever to get our photos back! Wishing you a nice week.
I'm finding a love for photography too, Kim. So much beauty to behold. Great shots.
Kim, lovely photo and you know, I can say photography has been a hobby of mine as well since I was little...the horrendous photos I have but some that I really like!
thanks for sharing!
Yes---cannot imagine being a photographer in the 'olden days' before digital was available... ha
Cute picture of your sister....
Glad your rose bush is still trying...
Hugs,

I've loved picture taking since I was young too... such a gratifying past time when you can create beautiful images!
Looks like your rose bush is off to a good start. I love taking pictures to but have a lot to learn.
If we look hard enough, we can see little signs of life all around us, even when things seem lost to us!
I absolutely love these pictures!! Beautiful, how fun to have a gift encouraged at a young age. ;)
Great picture of the rose, Kim, and sweet picture of your sister! Digital cameras are wonderful. I really appreciate mine for taking pictures of my grandchildren!
This reminds me of my "crazy camera" my parents bought me when I was around 10 years old. I loved taking pictures too. It think it was called a Kokky camera or something like that. I think I will look for it on ebay!

I see a "photographic" moment in my minds' eye and when I take the photo in real time...it doesn't quite match the one I had pictured just seconds before. I think I "color" my photos!! HA

Beautiful photo. My 4 year old loves to take pictures and she's pretty good at it too.
