Fears.....Exposed

I found a scorpion in our house, took my time about spraying it with bug spray.  It almost got away, and they sting!

I told hubs, I am insane.  If it had been a harmless ugly spider?  I would have rushed with heart racing, to see it's demise!

Let Our Light Shine is a new blog friend.  She did a post for me, about a fear of spiders. Read here to see her enlightening post of fears exposed.

"I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant..." Psalm34:4

I realized this fear makes no sense.   (This will be my last post about spiders.)  Ponder your fears again, to overcome them!

I've had few run-ins with those buggers & I am the same on the spiders too.I also dislike amusement park rides & for my birthday;ast week let my 6 yr old get me on the zipline at Busch gardens - and you know what? It was fun!

Hope you are well. I haven't been blog surfing in forever & am behind on everyone's goings on. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead

Oh, gosh, Kim, a scorpion! I have not seen one in ages but they sure are mean looking and I would hate to find one. I know I would surely need a big helping of "overcoming fear"!!
It is SO easy to be paralyzed by our fears if we give in to them. Thanks for a great post and reminding us we have someone to help us face ANY fear!!!

Hi Kim,

I've been reflecting on the phrases "Fear not", "Do not be afraid", "Do not fear", and "Don't be afraid"; a reminder from God that we can trust Him in all things pertaining to our lives.

I believe it is helping me learn to trust His word.

Blessings and peace.

One of my sons was bit by a brown recluse this year. The drs were surprised that his body fought it off so well - but he needed an antibiotic. The dr. told me those spiders were everywhere. You can't spray to get rid of them. However, if you have empty ladybug shells, then you have them. It has definitely been a faith movement to not let fear rule my household!

I love the photo to match the devotion -- and the devotion itself too of course.
We CAN overcome all our fears with our Lord by our side.

I am more afraid of snakes and they're common here. They're just so weird looking and funny i dont know. Just eeeeew man no!
I always say AND repeat to myself "I am not scared of or nervous for ....." works like a BOMB to eradicate that unhelpful, useless and paralyzing f word FEAR
