Listen to the Small Still Voice

I felt an importance to visit my Great Aunt Bon.  A few days later hubs and I went on impulse to her house.

I loved hearing the stories of life from an 84 year old relative.  She has a wonderful sense of humor!

Less than week later, she was taken to the hospital and admitted into ICU for a few days.

Fortunately she gets to come home soon but she does have health issues.

I have regret now that I did not visit her more often through the years.

This has taught me another lesson again.  We need to Listen to that impression to do something good.

It could be life changing....

I enjoy listening to my Mom tell of things that happened in her childhood. My regret is not being curious enough when my grandmother was still living. She was born in 1913, and lived until 2005. So you can imagine the stories she could have told.

So true. I often am pretty good at talking myself out of doing what that small voice is saying. Aren't you glad you followed through and you still have time with your Great Aunt?

Hello,

Very true.

Very often we miss many golden opportunities because we ignore our inner voice. We have the habit of postponing things for another day and this another day never comes.Later on we regret for our indecision and delay in obeying our inner voice.

Excellent post.

Best wishes,
Joseph

You are absolutely right! Life is short and we need to listen to our intuitions and what our 'hearts' are telling us at times. I had an impulse to get to the store earlier today and ran into an old friend who really needed a 'friend' today. So glad I followed that impulse.

Great post, Kim!! Thanks for sharing & hope your Aunt is well and home soon!!

Blessings & Big Hug,
Coreen

This post make me realize I should start visiting some of my relatives that I have not seen for some time. Wish you a great week ahead. Smile

God is teaching me much these days. One of the things is just what you spoke of. . . NEVER take any moment or any day for granted . . . do what the Lord lays on your heart to do.
This is my first visit here today. I know I will be back.
Blessings,
Bren

I needed to hear this. I have an aunt in town who I seldom visit. I go to another nursing home weekly to play bingo, but my own aunt...I hardly see. Oh well, the bingo sessions appear to be over, so I am concentrating on my aunt now. All is well in crazy town.

Oh, Kim, that is SO true!! How I loved listening to my grandmas and aunts telling stories when I was a girl!! I spent hours sitting on the front porch with one or the other of my grandpas with them recounting anything and every thing as long as I sat there and listened! I sure miss those times today! So glad you had the chance to visit your aunt!

good advice. Time passes so quickly and so many opportunities to do good can be lost. Thanks for the reminder.
