My Sisters Funny Eclipse Family Photo

I had a good laugh when I saw my sisters family photo on her Facebook page.

I hope you do too with their welding helmets on!  (I am not promoting welding helmets)

They had a full eclipse up in Copperhill, Tennessee......ours was partial in Atlanta.

Your sister and family were blessed to be able to see the eclipse at full totality. What an amazing sight it must have been. Ours was partial here, but I didn't get to see even that!

NO dangerous rays of any kind will damage their eyes! Hilarious! I did not see a thing here!

What a great idea - I had another friend do the same thing!
Do I know that you live in the Atlanta area?
Did you know I live near Kennesaw, GA?

I thought they were trying to hide their identity.

Lol....so funny. Well..as long as it work, right?

We didn't get to see it over here

Why helmets? A pair of adequate sun glasses will do. It looks funny, but it reminds me of masques against chemical warfare we got, in case Saddam Hussein attacks. And that was not funny at all. We were scared.

The town had sold out of glasses to see the eclipse. They made do with welding helmets which they had in their garage. He is a mechanic.
Sorry Duta for the bad memory it brought up...I have no bad memories here, we are so blessed

What a great idea!!!! We had total eclipse here in Crossville --and my son/wife came here that day. He brought his big telescope so we could see everything up close and personal. BUT--we also had our special glasses and special lenses on our cameras.... Just an awesome day!!!!!

We got so dark here that the solar lights came on!!!!! ha

Hugs,
Betsy
