My Smart Car

We bought this used car with 11k miles on it for Me and I feel Smart:)  It does not look handicap accessible yet but hubs is working on that.  It will haul my chair on the back of the car.....more pics later.

I have wanted a small car for a long time but a toy car?  I laughed when I first saw it.....surprisingly it feels roomy on the inside.

Horse dog was barking at us til he heard my voice, everybody else laughs when they first see it!

We were getting so tired of sinking money into our clunker van and the van is still dead now....but this dream car will require some walking?

I will share how it turns out later.....

Parking that car is going to be sooo easy - seen a lot of smart cars locally where the can park sideways compared to normal sized cars :o) I've driven one ocationally and if I should ever buy a car, I am actually considering a smart car

Just think about the gas mileage! Love how environmentally friendly it will be :-)

I love the color. I love the "environmentally friendly" thing (although I have to admit that's not my FIRST priority in cars)...but they SCARE me! They are SO tiny... Be careful!!

I could use one of these in place of a spare tire in my monster SUV:-)

Ok, I don't feel so bad now. I've seen cars like that in town and I always laugh when I see them. They're such silly looking cars!

Congrats! I love the color, so pretty!

I love dog's reflection in your cute red car! I always smile when I see one of these, I love them! We went on a tour of the huge test crash facility, where they have the crash test dummies. They crash all cars and give them a safety rating. I did a post on it awhile back. And I took a picture of the crashed smart Car. They were amazed that it passed the crash test so safely!! Even though it is so small. It must be bigger inside than it looks, a genius of design and engineering. And I'm thinking how you will now be able to just zip right into those tight little parking spaces! Why will it require more walking?

Smart cars are smart in many ways, just because they are small does not make them unsafe! They are made by a very clever company.

You have given me hope as although I don't have a Smart car I do have a very small car and wait patiently to see how you get the chair attached to the car for mobility.

Its the same colour as my little car. It will be so very economical, environmentally friendly and very very easy to park.

Congratulations

I totally think your car is super cute! I would love to bomb around in one like that. Unfortunately with all my kids, I'd have to strap a couple to the roof...congrats on the new vehicle! I think a 'woot woot' is in order!

great car! (sorry no caps, but cat is in lap making typing tough) re your comment about wlking - it's good that the car is so short - fewer steps needed to get to your w/c!!

I have always wanted to hear from someone with a Smart Car. Can't wait to find out if it's as cool as I think it is and how much money can be saved.

Very cool. Can't wait to hear more about it. My husband wants one, but we're a bit unsure for now. Congrats, it looks great!

I've been in one once - they are surprisingly spacious. Can't wait to see how you adapt it! :)

A friend of ours has one, he is over 6 feet tall. It has plenty of room.

Great color, wishing you all the best with your "hot rod"

Who wouldn’t believe that a small car like that is handicap accessible? Well, with all the innovative car designs and ideas that we have today, it’s no wonder how manufacturers came up with this kind of car. With this latest innovation, more and more people with disabilities will be able to drive cars with adaptive features tailored to their needs.

Your smart car looks adorable! I didn't expect that it was a used car because it was shining bright like a brand new one. Likewise, the disability access feature is one thing that really makes this car awesome. I'm sure having it makes your life more convenient.
