Milkshakes watching Snow

Today
Yes I am crazy!  I do love drinking a milkshake (with protein powder) daily.

After Christmas, my sisters will keep me warm. They gave me an electric throw.

Now I drink milkshakes while wrapped up warm :)

Well I do have slow digestion (gastroparesis), spelled it right since I play a doctor.

I need to gain weight!   Before you wish you had that problem, it is no fun to eat when you are not hungry??

Too much info lately, about health challenges.  Just keeping it real, again....will try not to be boring?? (see I am full of ??'s)

We are frozen in Georgia today.   This is unique weather for us....in my short life anyway.

I used to have that problem Kim (being too thin), and drank the protein powder, but since the MS, I have gained a lot of weight. I am not as active as I used to be, and I LOVE food!

Isn't cozying up under an electric blanket the best? Ahhh, yes, up here in NC we are also getting snow; so much in fact our school closed early so we'll see if we have a snow day tomorrow.

I'm a former anorexic so I do NOT think gaining weight is 'fun' quite the opposite so hang in there.
Thank you for allowing me to come visit! and please stay warm and safe...

I don't know that I would ever consider you boring! Stop that!

Before the MS, I was training to be a power-lifter... as cool as that sounds, I was only working on the deadlift... picking it up off the floor, raising it to my waist, then setting it down. I was up to about 205 pounds... I miss it... anyway, I digress...

I used to drink protein shakes all the time...daily! Protein power, bananas, crystal light for flavor... yummy! I miss them. I can't drink cold things much anymore. Kills my jaw... the TMJ or TN or whatever it is...

Oh, and I am oh so envious of your electric blanket! I almost bought one the other day but had such a hard time spending the $50+ dollars for a dang blanket ha!

I have two daughters on a milk shake kick. But, one goes back to college this week, so I'm glad to make the shakes for her.

Georgia snowed in ... I have a son trying to fly into Birmingham, AL and is having a tough time of it. School starts today in Montgomery, and he missed it.

We need some of yhour snow here in the midwest!

Yes --Georgia doesn't usually get THIS kind of weather... It's been a crazy winter so far.

I have the opposite problem. I lOVE to eat --and never seem to get full.. ha ha ... Wish I didn't have a weight problem.

We have an electric blanket on our bed --and LOVE it.. It feels so good to get into a warm bed... Glad you have a warm wrap--especially this time of year.

Hugs,
Betsy

Well, I don't know which is worse. Having to eat when you're not hungry, or wanting to eat when you're not hungry. I love milkshakes and would be right there drinking with you even if it's freezing outside. I have a heated throw and love it! They can be hard to find and I looked for mine for a few years.

hi kim,
thanks for stopping by the other day! isn't it funny what we write as apposed to what we know our family would write... haha hope you aren't to snowbound down there.. we got caboshed last winter and i'm praying it stays away but i'm not so sure.. we had a heck of a time getting my daughter and her wheelchair out when we were without electricity and 5' of snow last year... it was awful!

Hello, dear friend. Personally, I think milkshakes are the truest of the comfort foods.
We've got snow over here in Augusta, too. It's going to be really messy tonight and tomorrow. My car is encased in a clear shell of ice.
Stay warm.

HI Kim!
Thanks for your visit and follow to my blog via Steph's blog! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment so I could find you and come by to "meet" you. Your electric blanket plus milkshake combo sounds heavenly!
We are frozen in eastern NC today with a snow day! Snow is very unusual for our coastal community Even though I homeschool my children, we had a snow day like traditional school because they were so excited to see the white stuff! Beautiful and peaceful photo of snow you have on this blog post! Keep warm and God bless!

I have enjoyed reading through your posts, Kim! You are an inspiration! I like the idea of a heated throw; I've never seen one although I've used an electric blanket in the past.

I have a friend who claimed that if she didn't gain weight, he was going to hospitalize her. I never thought she was that thin. I mean, she was slim but not enough to make me think she was THAT thin.

Enjoy your electric blanket. I used to have one and just loved it.

That warm blanket sounds good especially in that weather.

Said a prayer for you, your health and the weight you need to gain.

Hey Kim!!

I've been watching the weather in my beloved ATL and I can't believe my eyes! I mean I grew up with an occasional ice storm that would shut the city down, but how bought that snow!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!

We've had alot of snow in Northern AZ mountains and I love it!!!

Keep warm and enjoy your Southern snow while you can!

Blessings!
Jackie
