I'm Wore Out, Kim....

I'm wore out.  Dad said this to me earlier this week, as he lay in the hospital bed.  I felt tearful.

The Docs finally discovered he had a small stroke.

It is so sad to see him make the effort to process his thoughts, get words out clearly.   Fortunately he is his normal self, half the time .

I do ponder when the body gets so exhausted, how to keep the will?

When we struggle with life and feel wore out, I personally believe:

 Isaiah 40:
31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Oh Kim,
I am so sorry you are going through this painful moment. Life's questions are so very difficult which is why we depend on scripture and the Lord to guide us through. We are NOT in this journey alone, so keep praying and I will do the same for you and your family.
my thoughts are with you...

This is one of my absolute favorite bible verses and something we all need to remember. A great source of comfort. I printed this on my mom's funeral program. will he be in rehab? I know the brain cells can regenerate with some therapy. I hope you are getting some rest.

Love the Bible verse, Kim. It's always been one of my fav's.... Just keep saying it over and over...

It's so hard to see our loved ones get old. We are going through that with George's elderly parents. Dad is 98 and Mom is 90.

Hugs,
Betsy

That is one of my favorite quotes from Scripture; unfortunately, the choir sang it at two very painful [for me] funerals, and when I see the words, I get so filled up.
Hope your Dad gets stronger each day. My own Dad had 2 strokes, and the benefits of therapy can't be minimized. Prayers...
Peace,
Muff

Kim -

I know someone from work who is going through something similar. I personally cannot relate because I've never had to go through this. But my heart and prayers go out for you, Kim, and for your father. May God help you through this difficult time.

God bless,
Dean
