We see deer from time to time in our back yard. Once I saw two does and a fawn just walking across one of the streets in our neighborhood...they didn't run, but strolled along as if to say..."howdy, neighbor, we live here, too"....
How I wish I could see deers in my back yard. All I get to see are rats, rodents, stray cats and dogs, occasionally a green frog, an ugly toad, squirrels and lots of birds. At least these few creatures do make me feel like I am living with nature, in the middle of town.
I'm continually missing the obvious... like friends standing under bright lights in shopping malls. My husband claims he could drive a truck through the house and I wouldn't notice ;)
It is always good to surround ourselves with others so we can have more than one perspective! We are bound to miss something important if we go it alone! Great post!!!
thanks for your comment on my blog. i love natureand it hurts to see that land is being more developed and the deer are getting forced out of their homes. have a good evening.
