Ornaments After Christmas

January is moving on fast...It is already MLK day...
and I am still hanging onto blogging about Christmas stuff...

I could not pack away the Marine ornament that my son sent me
or the ornament that my daughter brought me from NYC.

~so I hung them from the pot rack in the kitchen~

this reminds me of when I put their drawings on the fridge
when they were in Kindergarten...
it made me smile then.

These two ornaments reflect who my kids are now:
a fine Marine and a fancy young lady
...all grown up...

I will keep the ornaments hanging around awhile
since they make me smile!

Very sweet!

yesterday I found the donkey from our nativity under the couch. SO I guess we still have a few things out too ;-)

What a good idea! I think you should find a permanent place and always keep them out!!! And they would also be a wonderful conversation piece for company.

I have Christmas ornaments that I keep up all year long. Christmas is about JOY and that is what these ornaments bring to you.

Hi Kim, I don't blame you for leaving out those two special ornaments.. Your kids are all grown up.... Can't believe that mine are too --and even my grandchildren are teens now. Yipes.

Hugs,
Betsy

We thank your family for the service and sacrifices for serving out country. I would not put it away either.

I see you are going to be an aunt! What an exicing time!

HOPE your coming year will be a blessed one in many ways.

Love it...what a great way to light up our everyday lives with things that make us smile. Besides who is to say the joy of Christmas must be tucked away till December.
