God uses the hard times in our lives to draw us closer to Him and to one another. So thankful you and your husband are drawer closer in this season. So many would fall apart. Praying God will continue to bring provision into your lives.
Glad to hear you are rekindling the fire in your marriage. That is one advantage to being unemployed. All things work for our good.Just wanted to thank you for visiting my blog and your gracious comment.
Dear Kim,Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment. I appreciate your kindness.Your blog is lovely. I am now following.Blessings.Doris
Oh Kim. Alex is unemployed and job hunting. I don't talk about it because my ex reads my blog. I doubt he reads the blogs I follow but if he is that interested in my life, then he (and now you) knows. LOL. And also you know about my daughter. Well, I view it like this. We are both dealing with the worst times of our lives but it is not tearing us apart. We find we can be happy with simple things, and we can laugh. It is less lonely to walk with a good friend...
Kim, It is good that you are taking this extra time together to reconnect and laugh more, especially as the kids are leaving the nest.Best,Webster
It's such a help to be close in your marriage, to be there for each other through all things, sharing and enjoying God's love for you and your love for each other.
It's good to look for the positive when things are rough. I'm glad you and your hubby are reconnecting.
It so great that you looking and the positives and using this time to get closer, rather than get on each others nerves or something like that. You have such a wonderful attitude! Thank you for all the nice comments om my blog a& esp. for the support!Have a wonderful weekend!HUGS,Coreen
Good for you..finding the silver lining....not my gift I'm afraid. It's hard in the midst of the storm to keep in mind that attitude and prayer will win the battle. Thanks for the reminder..Following you now
I have no idea WHY I'll be telling you this but the question has been plaguing me for a while. My pros to being unemployed:I've grown close to God, I've been able to concentrate and nearly finish my studies, I dont have to wear a uniform, I can start my own business, I have more than enough time to devote to my volunteer duties with CANSA.I think, ok i know now why I'm sharing this with you!!Now apart from myself PLEASE give ME tips on nightly devotional as we used to do it but we've fallen out the routine and it sucks and i miss it and i dont wana push G!!! I miss that closeness... So now I'm wondering as Barbie so smartly wrote about... Am i holding on to something God is taking back?
laughter in a marriage is essential. It's great to hear you are reconnecting again :)
A marriage is never really tested until you hit hard times. Good luck to you both. Touch wood - I haven't yet had to face what you are going through.
