HAVING GRATITUDE

I am trying to be grateful today struggling with the empty-nest syndrome, financial difficulties, extremely tired, etc. Who wants to hear me complain when I have so many things to be thankful for. My daughter's coming home tomorrow, I might see my son, will go to Sam's shopping and able to clean house. That is a full day and I know so many people would love to do the same, but cannot. I am changing from being busy mom to just being there when needed. It is a different phase of life but I am not alone. It is a time for spiritual growth and help others when I have the opportunity. One last thankfulness is new friends on the world wide web.

I came upon your blog today and have really enjoyed reading your posts! I can relate--I'm also an empty-nest mom of 2--they left home 2 years ago. I also struggle with health issues--severe allergies and asthma. I'm an expat in the Czech Republic and having all kinds of adventures despite my health issues!

Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

I too struggle a bit with empty nest syndrome. I constantly worry whether thay are eating properly, who they are with and if they are getting enough rest. My son left home six years ago, lived in another country, married and settled there for two years before returning to Australia..My youngest is 25 and she I miss the most although I see her every week, it still is hard to let go and say "hey My baby is a big girl now she can look after herself" Fortunalty I still have my eldest living at home so I am not completly empty nested although she too wants to move into her own place..

In saying all this I keep busy, Kimberly, you may think you will have a lot of spare time but believe me I seem to have less time now than ever..

I can't imagine what that must be like. I bet it will be hard for us to when my 4 babies leave the house.

Thank you for stopping by.

I have managed to read a few posts, seems like life is really tough at the moment, it to shall pass. Have you seen the movie 'You Can Heal Your Life' by Louise Hay? I always watch it when things seem tough.

I love the title of your blog "Stuff Could Always Be Worse" because it is such a true statement! This post about gratitude is so wonderful to hear. I don't think enough people are grateful for what they have and focus only on what they don't have and make themselves miserable and then make everyone else around them miserable. Keep smiling! Life is wonderful!
