Exercising to Improve MS

I have become determined to exercise more! All the evidence lately is exercising helps MS, and everything else.

I was told to rest for decades and now the word is to move....

It is a great feeling to leave the above chair behind to use the walker!

According to studies, we should all move however we can as much as we can?

Leaving the chair and using the walker is good new advice. I hope it works great for you.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that physical movement is critical to our health. It makes us feel better and helps gain benefits to both our body and soul.
Your plan is great!

I hope it helps you too - it must feel good to get out of the chair!

I agree, because this will keep your muscles strong. For many years, patients with bad backs were told to lay down and rest; now it is just the opposite.

I agree- even though it hurts right now for me to walk (sciatica) I am still trying to get my steps in. I always feel better when I can move around. Outdoor walks are invigorating. Have a blessed weekend!

I think it sounds like great advice and I wish you well as you begin. I try to walk on the treadmill most days. (I'm blessed to have one in our house.) But I've been sick for a few days and have missed it. The older I get the harder it is to re-start an exercise program that's been suspended for some reason. ;)

Yes! Yes! Yes! Move what you can as much as you can!
MS never gives up--so why should we?
Moving/exercise/stretching/working out--whatever you do "teaches" the body to do more giving you more energy, less stiffness, improved well-being guaranteed!
Keep at it & you will feel results...promise!
