I Love My Feral Cat

My outdoor cat was rescued from the woods by a friend.  It took a month of daily feedings before he would let me get near him.

he likes to climb on my feet now

He loves only my attention!

He is hiding from my grandson
who wanted to play with him.

he plays with sticks

he lays around

he will not pose for pics!

he chases bugs

he stretches out in front of me

he lays in front of my wheelchair tires cuddling,
even though it looks like he is
 trying to commit suicide!

I can easily recommend a feral cat for the outdoors.  I tell him he don't really want to come inside my 'doghouse'!

so sweet, and most feral cats will not do what this one does, you found a good on. I love the photo of the cat hiding in the grass best of all and the suicide one

He looks so much like Minnie.

I worry about him being outside but when he leaves me setting there to run into the woods....I feel better as I watch him play. I probably feed him too much but?

How wonderful! And he is a beautiful tuxedo cat! Looks like you almost have him tamed. Your pictures are wonderful! My favorites are chasing bugs, and standing on your foot.

He is beautiful. And makes me realise that despite missing Jewel still, I am slowly edging closer to getting another cat.

HAHA....I for one have never been a cat person till June when I got Lily.....but I don't think I could ever have an old door anything. My fur babies have to be in the house with me. Your baby is so pretty and you can tell he loves you.

My son tried to bring one in the house - it doesn't work!

You must have worked hard to gain his trust, but it looks like it was worth it. I love that little marking on his face. Looks like he's wearing a CPAP mask. :)

Looks like he has alot of personality! My friend has quite a few feral cats. She doesn't try to tame them. Her back yard is below a mountain trail and alot of people drop their cats off there to get rid of them. She feels sorry for them and feeds them.

Jann

Hi Kim, thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. My cat was born in the wild also. I got him when very little at the spca so he is a house cat. He is now 15 years old and still hides from people. He finally lets my hubby brush him but I am his one and only. He gets pretty affectionate with me but on his terms, lol... Hugs, LJ

I've never been a cat person but we rescued a stray many, many years ago and she turned out to be such a sweet pet, so loving and spoiled. Your feral is a beauty, for sure.

First, they get your attention. Next, they work on Hubs. Soon it will be living in your home, eating your food. Then before you know it, the cat will ask for money & help paying for college.
Be wary.
You have been warned.

Well done he is better being looked after by you rather than being feral.

HA ---No---don't think the dog would 'accept' the cat inside your home!!!!! ha ha

Pretty little feral cat.... I have never had an outside cat (or dog)... Sometimes I wish I had one here --because I'd love to get rid of some of the tons and tons of Chipmunks... BUT---our community doesn't allow outside pets... (I'm really glad about that since I don't like being in areas where dogs and cats wander everywhere...)

Hugs,
Betsy
