I was going to the restroom at church struggling to push open its very heavy door.
There was an elderly lady who was coming out so I said, Boy this door is so heavy.
she said, Yes it is but at least we have a restroom! so kindly
I found it humorous that I of all people.....had to be reminded......it could be worse.
oh Lord forgive us of what we take for granted!

great lesson and one we all need. she remembers when the rest rooms were outside I am thinking..
SO true! Amen to this lesson...and may we never forget it!
ABSOLUTELY---we all need to remember this.... Sometimes we don't think that life could always be much worse... We complain about the little things when we need to thank God for our blessings...
Great post.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a wise lady to remind you of this.
When I saw your title, I thought...Oh no. Then when I started reading, I thought ..Oh NO! Thankful to see you today, I always love your posts, and thankful that there was no bad incident with that door.
And how right she was.
A lesson that I think most of us need reminding about from time to time...
Two wise crones!
It's a good reminder to us to always look for the good in things. But...I hope she held the door for you as she said it. :)
I agree, we all take our conveniences so for granted.Great lesson for all to learn.
Sometimes it seems we are spoiled by conveniences that are 'inconvenient'....
I don't understand people.....I was taught to hold that door open for whoever! Yes, you are right, it could be worse but at what point does worse become our life??
I need to clarify, that lady seemed to be 90 years old....too frail to help me. I agree that people should help others when they can.
It's the simple things that make you realize the most.
Hi Kim....just checking on you and hoping all is well.
