Mayonnaise Biscuits

I took a pic of my mayo biscuits

I have a new found interest in cooking lately!

I got this recipe out of an old church cookbook.
I haven't cooked mayonnaise biscuits in 30 years....
so I was glad I liked them and hubs did too!!

Here is the recipe:
2 cups self rising flour
2 heaping tablespoon of mayonnaise
1 cup of milk
2 tbsp sugar
Dash of salt

Blend flour, sugar and salt together.  Add milk and mayonnaise.  Stir until smooth batter.  Spoon into a greased muffin pan.  Bake at 350 degrees until brown.  Yields 12 muffins.

I have to try this! And it is so easy! I will make them this weekend and I can't wait. I adore mayo, but I know some kids who hate it. Anyway, when you use it in cooking you can't taste it.

They sound good. Says the woman who ate home made mayonnaise on toast for breakfast for about six years as a young thing.
Thank you. I will save (and test) this recipe.

sounds delicious. Mayonise, another option to yogurt.

Never heard of them but they sound tasty. Funny how we use English words differently. We wouldn't call them biscuits. We call cookies, biscuits.

Never heard of these.. Were they good? I'm sure they were... We don't eat biscuits much (although I love them)--since we are watching our weight....
