I Have a Cold!

feeling a little like this Plant

Funny how a cold was a big deal when I was a kid

Now it is just a minor irritation when I compare it to the aches of growing older!
(forgetting other aches)

 Trying to keep Perspective today

PS: Our Thanksgiving was nice with Dad and family
Starting to get up a Christmas tree and back to blogging!

The common cold is miserable. I hope you feel better soon! You are putting up your tree already?

Our family has each had a cold for the past couple weeks. One of us gets better as the other one starts coming down with it.

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving!
I hope your cold is over fast and you're feeling better very soon.

You are the third person today who is sick with a cold! I hope you feel better quickly.

A cold is a big deal to me because of my asthma!

So you are getting ready for Christmas - us too!

My tree has been up for a week. Yea! UGH--post-holiday cold. Sending virtual chicken soup your way. (HEY, I bet turkey soup works as well.)

Hope you feel better soon. I just bought a nasal steamer and it works wonders for a stuffed up nose.

ugh. Colds make me feel worse now than they do when I was a kid...because it's more of an ANNOYANCE for sure I guess when we get older:)

Maybe the sight or your Christmas lights and decorations will help you forget the tissue box:))

Perspective is so important! Thanks for reminding me! I, too, have a cold - along with my husband. Not fun, but it could be so much worse.

Sorry, Kim. Hope you feel better soon. Colds just take the fun and energy out of life.

I've never thought of a cold in that way - excellent perspective!

Hope you feel better soon!

I gave my mom a big coffee cup planter similar to that for her birthday earlier this year. I tried to convince her to drink coffee from it but she wouldn't. lol

You are too cute. Yep, colds sure make you feel like a dried up withered away plant. Hope you get better soon friend. Blessings.

Stop cleaning this instant - the dust bunnies will wait a week. Rest, drink plenty of tea, and have some turkey soup. You'll be feeling better in no time.

Glad your Thanksgiving was good.

Take care of yourself. Put yourself first so the Christmas season will be fun.

Rotten, down & out ? Yes I can understand the feeling. The thought of Christmas should cheer you up :)

Undiluted lemon juice, and hot soup - these are my remedies for cold. Hope it helps you too.
(I like your analogy and the picture with the dried up plant).

I think it's because when we were little, a cold meant a lot of attention and nurturing from Mommy.
Now that we ARE mommy, it's not so fun!

Everyone just want us to stay away.

I sure hope you are up to snuff very soon!

Now it depends who exactly is getting the cold ...if it's the wifee then its a minor irritation. If its the hubby...paramedics have to be called and a room set up with all his favorite things...and a bell to ring when he's in dire need of some emergency subs, homemade soups or chocolate cake! LOL!
Blessings, Joanne
