I have been dealing with leg spasms forever it seems.. The baclofen pump I have helps me tremendously .....until I get hot.
Spascitisty is very painful but when I cool off they go away??. I dress as cool as I can. I turn the air down til I freeze hubs to death!
I was surprised but happy that an ice necklace helps my leg cramps. I feel I can breathe again when I cool down!
I cannot believe it’s September and I am sharing tips to survive the heat!

It will eventually get cooler. I promise.
Ice DOES help.
It has happened that I have our evaporative cooler on, and my partner has turned his electric blanket on.
I hear you on the staying as cool as possible.
my first time to see and hear of an ice necklace. so glad it helps. I just told bob today I am not sure I can wait for November/dec to get a break from 92 degrees every single day, we wake up to 80 to 82, it stays hot humid all night. while the air runs I am ok, when it shuts down I sweat.. glad the cold helps spasms, you have so much to deal with.
This is the first I've heard of an ice necklace and I am glad it works for you.
I have never heard of this. How wonderful that you found it! And I know that many of us could use one, too. It is also pretty!
Hi Kim hope the weather cools down for you and what a great idea with the ice necklace, take care my friend xx
I am sorry you need to be so cool - but I am with you girl - it is so hot here in Georgia - I am so ready for it to get cooler. Hope you are okay,
Praise the Lord for that ice necklace! It's amazing how many things there are to help us through the numerous ailments that afflict us. And the internet makes it so easy to find those solutions. Hang in there. Cool is coming.
I am so sorry ....spasms are terrible. Hoping you are feeling better today.
What a great idea. I'm glad it helps. I know what you mean about the heat. It's unbearable here in north Florida along with the humidity.
I'm so sorry about the leg spasms. That's very interesting about the ice! Take Care!
Sorry about the spasms. They drive one crazy!
Stretching helps me. As well as Botox injections I get every 3 months--really aid in spasticity. A really cool shower (as cold as you can take it) helps too.
MS needs round-the-clock attention. Stinks!
Best to you!
How interesting. Glad ICE helps you --and the Ice Necklace is perfect.... When I get too tired (after a very long hike) --I sometimes have spasms/cramps/pain in my legs... Next time, I'll try some ICE.
We just got home from a wonderful trip out west...
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh dear that must be awful not being able to cope with the heat. Glad the ice necklace helps.
An ice necklace for your knee! What a great idea and so beautiful too. My friend has lived with MS for about the same amount of time. I shall mention the ice necklace to her.
Leg Spasms, they are terrible, I know.
They are one f the many reasons I hate this stupid disease.
I had just written about how it drives me nuts and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but when I find others online who suffer from it besides me it breaks my heart.
It's cooling off here in NC and I hope it does where you live at, soon.
We all suffer differently from the same disease, so what might help me might not help you but I do pray you find relief soon.
Ever need to chat, just write me.

Blessing to you my friend.
I'm glad to hear the ice necklace helps you cope better. This summer seemed like it was unusually long and hot. I was glad to see fall finally arrive.
Wow! I never thought to use ice! I thought heat was the thing to do. But I flare up with heat (and I live in Las Vegas! - but it is FINALLY under 100 degrees here but it went from May to September). Do you happen to find that magnesium baths help at all or are you able to get in and out of the tub? Getting into and out of the tub is my biggest hurdle to taking a bath...
No I never tried bathing in a tub, too hard to get out of it. I have a roll in shower, with lots of grab bars. The grab bars are a life saver! My hubs built this house handicap accessible, very blessed....
