my sister Karen's wedding 1982 I am maid of honor, hubs is best man |
Glen has been my brother in law for 35 years. He had surgery 2 weeks ago but something went wrong. He ended up in ICU on a ventilator for over a week.
They finally found a serious leak hidden at the surgery site and repaired it. He walked in the hospital a healthy 59 year old but now he is starting rehabilitation.
I spent a lot of time at the hospital ICU last week supporting my sister. Please keep them in your prayers during this long road to recovery.

Holding him, your sister and the whole family in my heart.
How true! Life can change in one second. He's going to be all right; afer all they found the leak and fixed it. Wishing him a speedy recovery!
It's so true that life can change in an instant. I prayed for Glen, and all of you who love him, as soon as I finished reading this post. Please post updates from time to time as you're able.
I will. So sorry, how awful!
may God continue to heal and restore him. Yes,life can change so quickly, we need to cherish every minute.
"Life can change in an instant." Well said as many of us know. Take every day for granted & don't waste a single minute.
Oh how scary..... Life certainly is precious... Bless his heart --and prayers for you and the family.... Hope Glen can come back from this....
Hugs,
Betsy
Amen to the 'normal'. I was always told God hands us days that only we can handle. Your BIL and sister will heal and life will be soon back to normal.
You're ALL in my prayers.
My goodness- how scary. I am glad they finally found the problem. Hope all is well now and he will whiz through rehab.
What a terrible thing to happen! Prayers for continued healing and for you and your sister. Life is so uncertain, and we need to treasure each other and every moment.
Glen hopes to move to rehab in the next few days. He still cant walk after being in the hospital 3 weeks now. Still running more tests. Thank you for your prayers!
Sorry to hear this news. Wishing him a speedy recovery
That is horrible, a mistake in the hospital. I hope he makes a full recovery.
My hubby had hernia surgery and bled for days and had 4 units of blood before he started to get better. Tests didn't show up where he was bleeding from (and he had plenty of them) but it healed finally. We like to think our Drs. are infallible but things happen. Prayers with you all. Please keep us posted. hugs, lj
Glen is moving to rehab today! After a month in the hospital, he hopes to learn to walk again etc
