Climbing These Historic Stairs

These are the 100 year old stairs that led to our second story condo in Savannah Georgia.

Earlier......When making the vacation reservation my daughter said "mom, are you sure you can climb the stairs up to the 2nd floor to this condo? "

I said, "sure, no problem as I set in my air conditioned home.....as long as there are handrails which they have to have, because it's the law...."

When we arrived to this beautiful historic condo I found out that I did not know the law!  historical buildings are exempt, sorta.

I did climb these curved stairs....... which had only one handrail....about 10 times while on vacation!

It is just miraculous that I could!   I always want to celebrate these small mountains!

Wow----proud of you for doing THAT..... Climbing those stairs one time --muchless MANY times--- would be hard for most of us.... You did great. Hope you enjoyed your time in Savannah. Did you see Paula Deen or eat at her famous restaurant????

Hugs,
Betsy

The best place I ate was The Pink House! It was built in late 1700s, delicious besides pretty

Kudos to you! "All's well that ends well", as they say. Glad you had a good time at Savannah.
The lesson is though - do not rely on laws; they change or are not locally obeyed.Chek out thoroughly before you book the accommodation!
