MS Buddy Program

Since March is MS Awareness Month.....I was happy to share an interesting program called MS Buddy when asked.

MS Buddy is an innovative app that connects people living with MS all over the US. Every day each user gets matched with a new "buddy." They then get to chat with their buddy about anything and everything, including shared experiences, exercise routines, daily struggles, new medications they are trying out, etc.

I like using technology to find different ways to communicate such as MS Buddy

  2. It sounds like a very useful app.
Everything that brings people with a certain health problem together, to share their stories and exchange ideas - ultimately helps improve their lives.

  3. What an awesome idea - technology has a unique way of bringing people together despite any distance. Truth be told - sometimes I get a little fed up with technology as we are very dependent on it (especially at my work in my case) and we seem to be online/available constantly - In my spare time I treasure old values like crafting ( knitting, card making etc) and reading (paper) books, but being online from time to time enables me to connect with people over long distance and gain inspiration.

Sharing MS stories etc is important and sparkles inspiration as some tend to be alone with their worries and thoughts - surroundings will never fully understand the MS despite incredible support and care, for some that might be an issue for others not at all. So an app - what a great initiative for people to connect even for a brief encounter :o)

  5. What a great idea.
I don't think we have anything which is an equivalent here.
We do have a peer support program, but that relies on phone contact.

  6. Sounds like a wonderful support group. When my friend was alive (she had MS) ---I begged her to go online since there was all kinds of groups out there and info that she would enjoy... She wouldn't do it... AND--now (several years later), that community is even larger. So glad you have this group...

    Hugs,
    Betsy
