My Sore Thumb

net image

On a lighter note.....Since I am a self proclaimed hypochondriac ......

my thumb became numb one evening.......oh dear, my mind immediately thinks MS.......I cannot lose anymore feeling in my right hand to MS!

After an hour of worrying and fretting?......I look at my thumb to see it is red and swollen and itching....Yay!  It has to be a bug bite and not the MS.

Whew! No one has ever been so happy to have a bug bite!......but the hypochondriac in me said, what if it is that West Nile thing?

Fortunately, I could laugh it off and it was back to normal in a couple of days.

  3. Our minds can really take us down the road to the most extreme places of dread

  4. Oh, Kim grasshopper. A real hypochondriac would have thought it was cancer.

  5. Glad to hear it wasn't serious. I don't blame you for worrying.

  6. Funny thing... I get the worst mosquito bites, but I'm the opposite -- I always downplay everything. When I was taking MS drugs, I never got one bite! Tells me something about how powerful they were.

  7. Well, I never thought I would say this, but I am so glad you were bitten!!! For some reason, many of my friends are getting spider bites this year, I have never seen the like.

  8. Oh yes. Sometimes it is wonderful to know that a new ache/malfunction has a cause other than the dread disease.
I hope your thumb improves very soon. Like big toes they are more necessary than we realise - until they cease working happily.

  13. I hate when I get to thinking things like that. It can keep me awake all night thinking those crazy thoughts that get into my head.
Happy it was just a bug bite.
