We were driving along our driveway after a really wet weekend....when I noticed all these strange orange spots in the woods.
with a closer snapshot....it looks like we have a bunch of pretty orange mushrooms speckled in the woods.
So what if I got a little wet
I am still thankful for the rain!
I have seen this kind, and they have a name. They brighten up the woods just as much as flowers!
ReplyDeleteafter our rain we got the normal old toad stools, this one looks like it is covered in melted cheese. really cool
ReplyDeleteHI KIM - rain is like magic liquid showering the earth. Your pictures prove that. :-)

I love that you just stopped the car and got out to see what those spots were! Interesting, I've never seen an orange mushroom before!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind a little rain to cool off, if you wanted to send some my way. lol
I saw mushrooms here, too, but not orange ones. Lucky you!

Those mushrooms looks like flowers. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThose are neat mushrooms!
ReplyDeletePretty color mushrooms, Kim. YES---with all of the rain we have had, I'm sure the mushrooms love it!!!!! We have some too--but none quite as pretty as yours.

The rain does bring out the fungi. This one is bright.
ReplyDeleteit has been a long time seen I've seen wild mushroom...think it was during my school days
ReplyDeleteIn the woods is a great place for them. (My lawn - not so much.) Don't think I've ever seen any so orange.
ReplyDeleteOf COURSE I LOVE rain! I'm from Seattle. Great pics!
