Squirrels are Taunting My Dog

I admit the 'word squirrel' is bigger than the little squirrel
sitting above the word in the pic!

Donny the horse dog stares and barks at those
aggravating squirrels

The squirrels have fun as they run....play....and scurry about.

However when Donny has the opportunity to chase one
They climb up a tree so fast!
Donny does not have a chance at catching them!

Oh the stresses of a dog's life!

  1. LOL.... That is funny Kim. At least it keeps Donny busy and he isn't bugging you.

  5. Kim, The squirrels are helping Donny keep his lungs clear!lol Don't know if you saw my blog post I've been around dog's all my life about my dog Ben reaction to the squirrels. Ended up having to remove to bird-feeder in the back yard, because of him. Too funny Ben still has only barked when dreaming.

  9. What a little cutie. One day our dog was chasing a squirrel and actually caught it. I don't know who was more surprised - he or the squirrel!

  14. Poor Donny, but it makes life interesting for him.
When we lived in TN I watched this happen to our dogs on a daily basis. Our dog Bruno, a boxer, tried in vain many times to climb the tree after them. They are very cheeky little critters.

  15. It is rather entertaining to watch David (the squirrel) and Goliath (the dog) in action.
I like your "Oh the stresses of a dog's life". Oh, indeed.

  16. Even though I would never ever want him to catch one a tiny bit of me is rooting for Donny. Just a little fur off the end of the squirrels tails.

  18. No squirrels here. We do from time to time have possums. They used to drive the dogs crazy and have very dirty mouths and claws.

  21. I've noticed some seriously nutty squirrels around here too. We JUST fixed the squirrel damage on our front porch so I hope they keep their gnawers to themselves, though.

I kind of feel like the horse dog at times in my futile attempts to keep them at bay.

  22. We get squirrels in the yard from time to time and surprisingly, my chi's don't pay much attention to them.

I like to feed the squirrels at school sometimes.

  23. But I am sure for him, the chase is worth the stress. Ha
