Christmas Days of My Horse-Dog

Donny ran in the door carrying a big stick
I said "Donny what did you bring in the house?"

Rfff Nothin, do I look guilty?
Funny how I see that my horse dog was bringing me a present
when really he was playing with a beloved stick!

  1. He seems to look more like a reindeer than a horse today ;-)

  2. My dog Ellie once brought in a lovely gift for me (she was a puppy at the time)...she ran into the house with something dangling out of her mouth an flung it across the room so that it landed on the couch...lucky me...it was a flat dessicated squirrel!

  3. Is that his version of a Christmas tree? Maybe he wants some doggy-decor for the holidays! LOL

  6. A much better present that the ones the cats give us. Though dog presents/toys can be embarassing. A friend of mine went for a walk with her dog - she said that she noticed people were giving her funny looks, so she turned round to see that Rusty was proudly carrying a pair of her knickers with him.

  7. He definitely looks like one of Santa's helpers.

  8. Donny is like children... Children would rather play with sticks, pots, pans, etc. instead of those expensive toys we buy them... Dogs are the same way.. A stick will do anytime!!!!! ha

  10. his expression is priceless and he is so handsome. Jake and Baby carry sticks so big that i wonder they can. they both love sticks and the bigger the better.
