This is Oscar....she has a boy name because....my son was so young and wanted a boy dog so we implied that she was a boy....therefore he named her Oscar.
She has lived outdoors for 15 years.
I have not always been fond of this dog but I have changed since she has mellowed and become so frail.
The best way to get our jealous dog Donny to wake up is....
to holler for Oscar!
I am not turning my blog into an animal blog....they are just a big part of my life nowadays.
Awww! Just look at Oscar's face!! Too adorable!!
ReplyDeleteWell you can never do too many animal posts, in my humble opinion ;-)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lisa - I love to read about animals. sandie
ReplyDeleteDogs are wonderful! They make great companions.
ReplyDeleteKind of funny that you eluded to Oscar being boy. Bless her heart ;)
ReplyDeleteoscar is precious and i wish i could hug him. he is very old for a dog. it makes me happy to see him inside with your horse dog. a neat trick to get him up. our dogs are jealous and we have to be careful of treating them the same
ReplyDeleteThat's okay, Kim. Most of us love animals. Miss Oscar does look frail.... And --dogs are just like humans. They DO get jealous!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
Love the story behind Oscars name :)
ReplyDeleteYou know, it's funny.... people really do love their animals and we do love reading about other people's animals. I enjoy reading and seeing yours.
ReplyDeleteEven my b/f who was a hard-core anti-dog person became a daschie lover so see what happens when those critters show us their cute faces? =)
Animal posts are fine. They do seem to take over your life. The naming of Oscar reminded me of my mother's cockatoo, called Hugo until she started laying eggs. After that, well the habit was ingrained and she was still Hugo.
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to see someone's pets.
ReplyDeleteOh Oscar, ya just gotta love those eyes!!! Donny plays dead well. Heeehehehe!
ReplyDeleteGod bless ya and have a beautiful week sweetie!!! :o)
Animal stories are always nice. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's cute how jealous our pets can be of each other. Pets meaning dogs. cats don't much care one way or the other. IMO, a house is not a home without a pet.
ReplyDeleteI smiled about the name. I once had a girl cat named Petey because ... um... I named her after a boy.
ReplyDeleteThe cat was a keeper.
The boy, notsomuch.
She's got a boy's name...love that.
ReplyDeletemy animals are a big part of my life too...nothin' wrong with that!
ReplyDeleteFunny that you named her a boy name. I would have never thought of that!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind if you did make it a dog blog, I enjoy reading about your pets.
ReplyDeleteMy boys are both jealous too.
Jealous dog is making me laugh! He sounds like he doesn't want to be left out :)
ReplyDeleteThey are just like kids. You call one and the other has to get in on the act.
ReplyDeleteI believe they are a best companion of us and really grateful having dog at home… wow! 15years seem so elder for dogs and to see her in good stage.
