Unemployment Lessons for Me


I needed to remember this lesson of the Children of Israel receiving manna daily from God.  I felt like we were wondering in the land of unemployment. Thankfully this only lasted eight months for us since Hubs got a job!

I had to trust God for daily (manna) provisions for us after I had done everything I could to make money stretch.

I wanted to worry ponder about tomorrow, next months mortgage, heat, gas, etc.

I even learned this lesson with the Dead sputtering van.  I realized hubs cannot repair it anymore, I have to trust God.  How can this van drive to Parris Island SC and back?  It made it very well!

It is a daily trust (for manna) our needs when we want to store it up.  I still remind myself now when worry comes knocking.

I believe we should make wise plans for the future but our plans are just that, "our plans".

    You are so right! God knows the plans he has for us and we need to ask him. It can be hard not to worry about the future, but that is what we are supposed to do. I just got your package a few minutes ago, it came on my birthday!!! So my win has turned into a birthday gift from you, thank you so very much!!! I LOVE it!! The book is so cute, and the cards are big and have gret pictures on them. I can't wait to play the game with Ella tomorrow, I will post pictures of it on my blog!!!

    Amen and amen!! I used to worry about everything. Now I just live moment to moment and try to trust. As soon a worry rears it's ugly head I shoo it away!! Just not worth the stress and He loves me and wants what is best for me. So I continue forward!!!!

    so true...trust that somehow we will get through tough times is essential...because the return again and again...and in between, if we pay attention there is joy and ease to be found in our moments of manna munching!!!
