Unique Christmas Trees

tree twirls therefore a blurry pic
This year my family put up this beautiful Christmas tree for me.

decorations are not important to me....
all the lights are nice to look at

Flashback to last year.   This plant was fine with me, really!

I rolled this plant across the room,
added a few ornaments and
voila, a tree!

You can decorate anything...
it makes the place feel more festive.

  1. We don't have the first Christmas decoration out yet. I'm hoping this Saturday we will finally have time...hopefully ;)

  3. Your tree looks gorgeous! And actually I thought the one from last year was great too! For me it's all about making memories! And each years tree, no matter how it turns out, is a memory maker!

Your last paragraph really blessed me. I'm usually the Martha Stewart Christmas decorating queen in our house and manage to put a bow or ornament on anything that doesn't move, seriously! This year has really been a tough one and quite frankly I announced to my husband that I'm not decorating at all this year! He went into shock and my adult children were traumatized! lol! Soooo...you inspired me Kim with your words...."I encourage all to do the best with what you have. You can decorate anything, feels more festive". So even though I don't deck all the halls, I can still bring on the Christmas decorating joy in my home this year with just a few specially chosen treasures sprinkled here and there!

    Thanks for inspiring me, Kim!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  4. Yes, you have a great Christmas spirit!! I have decorated my cane with glittery fall leaves, and now I think I will wrap a garland or flashing lights around it!

  5. YOur tree looks lovely, and I liked last year's as well. I agree that we feel more festive when we decorate for the holiday. Yes it does take effort, but I feel it is well worth it.

Now, if only I could cajole DH to take down the Halloween decorations and get out some for THIs season . . .

Ah, I'm just going to try to go with whatever happens.

  7. I have a fake mini tree my father gave me. I don't always put it up but I usually do just because Christmas is my favorite holiday. It really does feel more festive when you decorate - whether it's a twirling tree or a plant.

  9. Beautiful tree, Kim. That was nice of your family to make sure that you have a tree this year. And what a gorgeous one. I don't care much for gifts for Christmas --but I LOVE my tree and all of my decorations. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  12. I totally agree, Kim! It doesn't matter what you have. It's how you personally 'see' and 'appreciate' what you have!!

One of my best Christmas' had been the 'simpliest' because we didn't have a lot; so we Appreciated what we did even More!

Very happy that you're family & friends put up the beautiful 'twirling' tree for you to enjoy this year. I know it's the fact that they 'did' that means the most!! :-)

    Blessings & Many Hugs, Kim!

  14. So easy to get to wanting what we don' thave like that big CHRISTmas tree in the stores or in our friends/neighbors homes. But CHRISTmas isn't about the tree, the lights, etc. it is about Christ! :)

  15. A twirling tree plus a cat that climbs Christmas trees could take you can decorate anything to another level around here.:)

2 years ago i decorated my Mom's cactus as our christmas tree. She wasn't very happy with me LOL

  18. Omg-I feel the same way, and is that a shefalara plant?! We have one exactly like that! Hubs wouldn't let me decorate it, instead of a pine. Maybe next year....haha
