I have had rheumatoid arthritis for the past 4 years now. My wife has had MS for the past 18 years. While these things have slowed us down, it is our goal to stay as active as possible. Some days that is easier said than done. Our faith has helped us more than anything. It is so important to try to stay as positive as we can about the conditions we have. I am truly grateful for what we do have. I am happy that you are grateful for what you have as well. God bless!Khris Cantrellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00971854962987134824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5010952548206164640.post-77522280859431635812009-06-02T16:30:27.923-04:002009-06-02T16:30:27.923-04:00Really a great post! I sure do miss her, and still think back to her words of wisdom to help get me through tough times.Boondock Ma (Kim's Mom)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12913040101512312836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5010952548206164640.post-48453788765270473652009-06-02T09:33:00.522-04:002009-06-02T09:33:00.522-04:00I stopped over to say HI and see what you were up ...I stopped over to say HI and see what you were up to.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5010952548206164640.post-63637553331878670612009-06-01T21:40:36.371-04:002009-06-01T21:40:36.371-04:00My husband's grandmother had rheumatoid arthri...My husband's grandmother had rheumatoid arthritis and was very crippled. She handled it with such grace and dignity, and her husband was such a big help to her. She would have loved a power chair! But, you are right, when a person is feeling down, that is when they should look around and see what other people are going through. On the subject of illnesses, because of how he saw his grandfather help his grandmother, I believe that is where my husband learned how to be compassionate with me and my illness. Thanks for the great post! :)A.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06106004037607712134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5010952548206164640.post-31031513913629128032009-06-01T18:11:07.665-04:002009-06-01T18:11:07.665-04:00Thank you for the reminder and telling me about yo...Thank you for the reminder and telling me about your Aunt. The battle of the ...Kim, Great to find your blog! The battle of the chair has been on my mind alot lately as I am having a new flare due to more lesions in my spine.

I am already dreading loosing my ability to walk. I've only had MS for 6 years and it seems to be moving along more quickly the last year. My mom had MS and after watching what she went through and passing away at 46, I dread the disability. Sounds like you handle it well now - that's awesome.

I'm going to read some more of your blog now, good stuff! :)Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13498350103500754085noreply@blogger.com
