Most people help because they can and it makes them feel good about themselves. It was purely an act of kindness.

It's difficult to ask for help but ... it's as much of a gift as helping someone out. It makes others feel good ... and trusted ... when they are called on.

Wonderful post!

Small Footprints
http://reducefootprints.blogspot.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18323775808390175925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5010952548206164640.post-46798545039681615162009-04-30T09:41:00.000-04:002009-04-30T09:41:00.000-04:00It's easier for me by far to help others than to a...It's easier for me by far to help others than to ask for help when I need it, and I totally understand what you mean, Kimberly. It is such a blessing though that there are so many people who are willing to help others! It makes our heart feel good to know when we have helped someone so look at it from the other person's point of view. I read a book titled "90 minutes in Heaven" and the author said a good pastor friend told him that by not accepting the help of the people that wanted to give it he was actually denying them their blessing of offering out of love or compassion. I had never thought of it like that before. Like you, I don't like to ask for help but these past few months have found me having to do that. Its been hard but after reading that book I feel differently. I know it always blesses me to be able to help someone. God bless :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17903948294611561526noreply@blogger.com
