Beginning Good Habits

As we began a New Year, I am reflecting on a good habit that I began at this time last year.

I read the Bible through in one year!  With the YouVersion app.

I am repentant that I have not read the Bible from cover to cover before now!

Have you began any positive changes in your life?

  2. You know I have read through the bible twice. Both times I learned more. So I am sure if I read it again I would learn more. I do a weekly bible study with church. However my new year;s resolution is to read it ten minutes a day. I need it. Happy New Year, Sandie

  3. Congratulations.
I am eating cleaner and greener. A work in progress - but so is life.
A very Happy New Year to you and yours.

  4. Kudos to you, Kim!
Reading the Bible is a spiritual activity to be encouraged, as it helps develop positive thinking. After all, we and our attitudes are shaped by our thoughts.

  7. I was challenged, at the end of 2012, to read the Bible through each year; and I was faithful to do it for the next four and a half years. I failed to complete it on schedule in 2017, but I still plan to do that and to continue the practice in 2018. I'm amazed at how much I learn each time through. It truly is "...living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword..." (Hebrews 4:12). Wishing you abundant blessings in 2018.

  8. Hi, Happy New Year.... Hubby and I sit every single morning for about 30 minutes and do our devotions together... Great habit and it always makes each day go better.....

I also am trying to get rid of some of my stress since all of these family problems have been hard for me this year... I want to 'fix' everything --and cannot..... I pray to God to help me with this....

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  9. That must have been a mammoth task. Well done for achieving your goal. I hope you achieve more in 2018. My goal is to stay healthy, keep walking and hopefully do a few trips.
