Our Wedding Weekend

I went to my niece Kandice and Scott's wedding this weekend.

It was a beautiful wedding at the Ocoee Whitewater Center.....in Tennessee.  The scenery was gorgeous!

The ceremony

After a few days of rest now.....I can fondly look back on the fun we had since my sister Jill took such great pictures of the day!

  11. I actually went white water rafting on the Ocoee River in Tennessee in July
2001 when I was 17! (That was obviously before my accident.) I didn't know
how to swim, so I was terrified to go. I even cried! I told my mom that I
didn't want to do it, but I finally relented and decided to do it. I'm SO
glad I did, especially since now that I'm totally paralyzed, I wouldn't be
able to go back and do it, had I had chickened out (like I wanted to). It's
one of my favorite memories, since I was courageous, despite my great fear.
