If it helps---my 80-something aunt had hers removed (meaning she was 80-something at the time, years ago)(she lived till 103)and ir was no big deal at all, very common procedure and simple nowadays. No worries!

Even while awaiting surgery, you look at the bright side, knowing things 'could be worse.' Prayers for you Kim, for safe surgery and a speedy recovery!
