A Symphony of Seasons-Blog Tour and Giveaway

Connie's poems have touched me ever since I first virtually met her....
So I am happy to be in this blog tour!

I think this book would be a great Mother's Day gift!

This post is the sixth stop of Connie Arnold’s Book Release Blog Tour for A Symphony of Seasons, a collection of poems about music and each of the seasons through the year. A Song to be Sung is from the “Songs of Each Season” section.

A Song to be Sung

Every day there’s a song to be sung,
A song for the old as well as the young,
A song for peace and an end to strife,
And for the joy and beauty of life.

We each can have a song to sing,
A song in winter and also in spring,
A song for summer and autumn days,
And for the Creator, songs of praise.

Music can soothe a troubled mind,
A song of love, gentle and kind,
To ease the discord of pain and grief,
And pleasantly offer some sweet relief.

A song of life can be sung each day,
A song of thanksgiving as we pray,
A joyful song sung to God above
For His mercy, forgiveness, grace and love.

Connie is a writer, musician, wife, mother and grandmother who uses her writing to help her cope with the challenges of each day living with lupus and fibromyalgia. She looks for the positive things in life that are uplifting and inspiring, and turns them into poems that encourage others. She is also the author of three other poetry books, her first children’s book, Animal Sound Mix-up, and three more accepted for future publication.

Leave a comment to be entered into prize drawings for a Vivaldi Four Seasons CD and a hummingbird suncatcher wind chime. Additional entries can be earned for comments left on the other blogs during the tour and for sharing this post or any of the posts during the tour on Facebook or Twitter (be sure to post a comment here when you do that so you'll get your extra entries).

  14. I just love that poem, Connie. Wondering if you wrote music for it too?

  15. Thanks so much, Cathy! No, I haven't written music for it. Several people have asked me if I've written music for some of the poems in the book. I think I need to get busy on that if I can just find the time and energy! It has been a while since I've had a chance to do any composing. I appreciate your suggestion!
