We had a the best of all meals, they served us an authentic old world German dinner, made the way their Mother taught them.
It felt like we were in Germany, a wonderful cultural lesson for my children. It will always be a great memory, (cannot spell what we ate).
The lesson we learned is, you can feel the love, without speaking the same language. As Pilar said, a hug and smile is the same in any language.
What sweet memories you made during this visit....
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the 'Oma's.' I love Germany, went once, but I need to go back again. I didn't get to see any castles!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy your blog. I'm a new follower!! Just hopped over from MBC. Have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, Visiting you today.. So nice to get to know someone far away from my country...
ReplyDeleteVery nice to know you... :)
Oh I love that photo! So glad you had such a great time!
ReplyDeleteYes, Kim, I truly agree about speaking love without expressing it in the same words.
ReplyDeleteThe language of love is by far powerful. I love German food! And it's a very beautiful country too!
(When I was there, I was in the shop and I wanted something but there's no one I could turn to for help. So I spoke out loud, "is there anybody here who can speak English? hahaha... then one lady smiled and said in her German voice, 'I do".)
