My Dog Oscar's Tribute

Our 15 year old dog Oscar passed away in her sleep....(reason for her boy name is here)

Here are a few words to describe her life:

She disappeared for one month during our 500 year epic flood (You can imagine our surprise when she came home).

Oscar protected us from stray animals....which is important when you live in the metro woods!

Oscar accidentally bit my Aunt Sue when going after another dog on her shoulder.

I was not fond of Oscar because she was not a friendly dog....however I always felt compassion for her!

Oscar is missed....we tried to make her last days as comfortable as possible.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's amazing how much animals get into our hearts...even the ones we might not like as much. Blessings to you my friend!

Sorry about Oscar. She looks quite a nice dog in the picture.
It's always hard to loose a dog that has protected the house.
May her soul rest in peace!

Sorry to hear of Oscar passing. 15 years is a ripe old age for a dog.

You sound a lot like me when it comes to your dog...and even though he may have been not too friendly, he sure was cute:)

Looks can be deceiving because she looks like such a sweetheart.

Aw, I'm sorry. Even if she wasn't the friendliest, she was still family, and you treated her that way.

I am glad she had you and your family to love her. Everyone needs some love, even dogs.

You gave Oscar a home. I'm sure Oscar felt loved despite being grumpy.

Oscar seemed like quite a dog. Imagine finding your way home after a month's absence. Without GPS, I might add.

I'm sorry. We had a dog like that, defend first, threaten to bite first, ask questions later. He was locked in the bathroom most of the time, because he couldn't be trusted when company came to the door. He was great when strangers or salesmen came to the door. They all have their purpose

Oh I am sorry Kim, 15 though, she had a good life. Dogs, like people have their own personalities.

I am so sorry! I just hate it when pets die. It seems they should live alot longer...I mean parrots live very long and they are not half as cuddly as dogs.
Blessings, Joanne

I'm glad Oscar passed peacefully in her sleep. You speak very kindly of her despite her unfriendly disposition. May your next dog make you feel as safe and be a cuddly bear at the same time.

Dogs become part of the family when they spend so many years with you. They are very useful/helpful but can be a nuisance at times. But they are very loyal to their master ! But we love them inspite of their flaws and miss them when they die !
