The Perils of Driving a Wheelchair

I Ran over My Toes!

I was quickly turning the chair around to show our elderly dog, Oscar, where the food was....she could not see the food.

I did not realize that the quick turn  would cause my foot to drop off the foot stand but then....

My toes were under a tire!

Awww! it hurts!  I back up quickly so I can Free my toes!

I see mangled toes Ok blood on my toes.

They are healing fine now...Thankfully

It is Surprising how we nurture little parts of our bodies when that little part hurts!

Toes are really sensitive. When I was preggo with the twins and couldn't see 4 foot in front of me, I ran into a corner and broke my pinky toe. Would you believe it still hurts sometimes?

Gosh, that would have HURT!!!! I tripped over an ottoman the other day and it hurt my little toe really bad. The next morning I saw part of the toenail had come loose and there was blood all over it. And that was just my little toe, I can't imagine all those toes you ran over!!

EEE OUCH, I can relate and it does hurt as you cant move quickly to free the toes. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I know when I was in one of those things for over 2 years I think I did more damage to my feet than what was wrong with my leg.

Yay-hay, cooler weather is coming... better get out the thick sweater.. So happy!

Poor little piggy's! I've run over mine a few times, but I've been fortunate enough to have had my shoes on each time!

We live dangerously...lol

Toes may be little, but they certainly let us know when injured!! I'm glad you are healing.

Like everyone else. Ouch. But why, why given that MS gives us reduced sensitivity does it not apply to the bits like toes that you damage. Though I guess sometimes it does. Last year I was up at the hospital. A nurse applied a warm wet towel to my arm to bring up a vein. It was in fact HOT and wet. I didn't notice and blistered. Humph.

Ouch! Bless your heart.

I didn't realize how bad a little pinky (or piggy) could hurt until I cut my pinky finger while washing dishes and ended up with 9 stitches in it.

Hope your foot is feeling better.

OUCH!! I know exactly what you mean by nursing the little parts. I think it's such a lesson for the body of Christ, too.

All's well that ends well- your injured toes are improving, and they'll soon 'behave' perfectly.

Sure hope your toes heal quickly! I know what you mean. I badly bruised a toe last December and it's still very tender and the nail is still partly black.
